Senior Full Stack Developer

We're looking for an experienced developer to join an established Agile engineering team, contributing to the development and enhancement of a cloud-based application.

This is an initial three-month contract opportunity, suited to someone who can quickly get up to speed, take ownership of technical challenges and deliver quality solutions across both frontend and backend development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing and enhancing applications using React and Python.
• Working with AWS-based applications and services.
• Contributing to technical design and development decisions.
• Providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices.
• Collaborating with an established Agile delivery team.
• Solving technical challenges and delivering maintainable, high-quality software.

What We're Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with React.
• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Practical experience working with AWS.
• A solid background in full stack software engineering.
• Previous experience providing technical leadership or taking ownership of technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience delivering software within Agile environments.

Experience with TypeScript, API development and modern CI/CD practices would be advantageous.

Willingness to travel between Auckland and Wellington if required.
