Senior Full-stack Engineer (10/847)

Summary

Build and migrate cloud-native, microservice-based web apps on GCP using Java/Spring Boot, PostgreSQL/BigQuery, and CI/CD pipelines to replace legacy BI tools.

Project

You will join a global Data & Insights technology programme focused on modernizing and migrating an existing enterprise reporting and analytics platform from a vendor-based BI solution to a cloud-native architecture on Google Cloud Platform.

The project involves building and evolving large-scale, microservice-based web applications, enabling scalable data access and visualization, and supporting cross-country teams during a significant technology stack transformation.

You will

  • Design, develop, test and implement modern full-stack web applications in a cloud environment.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-country agile delivery team.
  • Support the Data & Insights team in migrating existing reporting solutions from vendor BI technologies to cloud-native platforms.
  • Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot, exposing RESTful APIs
  • Contribute to technical designs and implementation decisions within microservice-based architectures
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, sharing knowledge to support team growth and technology adoption
  • Ensure compliance with IT development methodologies, coding standards and corporate information security policies
  • Produce technical documentation aligned with delivery and product owner requirements
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to reliable production deployments

Must have

  • 6+ years of professional experience delivering large-scale web applications in full-stack engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 17+), Spring / Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs
  • Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with microservice-based architectures
  • Experience working with relational databases or data platforms such as PostgreSQL, BigQuery, or AlloyDB
  • Good experience with Git and source control management systems (e.g. GitHub)
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins
  • Good communication skills and a natural willingness to share knowledge and explain technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
  • Fluent English and Polish
