A senior full-stack role in Dubai centered on building scalable, secure services with C#/.NET while contributing to architecture decisions and the adoption of Java/Quarkus. Day-to-day spans REST APIs, microservices, event-driven messaging (NATS/Kafka), ORM/SQL data layers, and deploying containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes in the cloud.
Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions, with a primary focus on C#/.NET backend development and full-stack capabilities. The role also contributes to technical design decisions and supports the adoption of modern cloud and Java/Quarkus technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications, with a strong focus on backend development.
- Develop scalable and maintainable services using C# and .NET / .NET Core.
- Develop and integrate modern web front-end components.
- Design and implement REST APIs and microservices.
- Contribute to reactive and event-driven architectures.
- Implement asynchronous communication and Publish/Subscribe mechanisms, particularly using NATS.
- Develop solutions designed for horizontal scalability in cloud environments.
- Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
- Analyse technical alternatives and challenge proposed solutions when appropriate.
- Ensure appropriate data access and persistence strategies, with a strong understanding of ORM principles.
- Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
- Work closely with QA, DevOps, Product and other engineering teams.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, tools and processes.
