ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to design and build Java and Spring Boot services while maintaining supporting Angular frontend components. You will lead the transition toward domain-driven architecture, architect clean RESTful APIs, and work within cross-functional squads. The role demands robust transactional database expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL, with strong SQL skills and JPA/Hibernate proficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design and implement robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot;
• Build and maintain the supporting Angular frontend, ensuring seamless integration with backend services;
• Lead the transition from traditional database-centric designs toward a domain-driven design (DDD) architecture;
• Design and implement RESTful APIs following scalable and industry-standard API patterns;
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads to deliver high-quality features while maintaining engineering excellence.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Angular ;
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and software design patterns ;
• Deep experience designing and consuming REST APIs ;
• Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL and Oracle ;
• Strong experience with JPA, Hibernate, and advanced SQL ;
• Experience working with enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms;
• Passion for backend development, server-side architecture, and performance;
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience with AI-driven Software Development Life Cycle or spec-driven development;
• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors;
• Experience with AWS or Azure and Docker;
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab CI;
• Experience refactoring legacy systems into domain-driven architectures.

Requirements

Core Stack: Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and a solid working knowledge of Angular, of at least 4 years Design Fundamentals: A strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and software design patterns. API Knowledge: Deep experience building and consuming RESTful services with a clear understanding of standard API protocols. Database & Advanced SQL (Strict Rejection Criteria): Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and JPA/Hibernate. Candidates must have robust transactional database experience (Oracle, Postgres), strong SQL skills to navigate and optimize very complex SQL in KALC, and a thorough understanding of enterprise-level, high-transactional platforms.
