Salary: ₱100,000 – ₱130,000 per month

Introduction

Our client needs its first additional engineers to help expand these capabilities and respond to beta-user feedback, starting with one senior engineer. The Head of Product will retain ownership of architecture and technical direction; the engineer should be able to take requirements and implement them with minimal supervision.

About the Client

  • Our client is a lease administration platform for commercial retail tenants, including restaurant groups, cafes, gyms and other multi-location operators. It uses AI and OCR tools to turn lease documents into structured information, with source citations that users can review.

  • Users upload leases, letters of intent, contracts, invoices and other property documents. The platform turns them into an editable workspace for lease abstracts, key dates, budgets, projects and tasks, organized by organization and property. The engineer will help improve these workflows and support larger portfolios as usage grows.

About the role

  • As the first engineer beyond the founders, you will work closely with the Head of Product. You will clarify business requirements, break work into manageable tasks, implement and test features, and communicate progress and blockers without needing constant supervision.

  • Head of Product retains ownership of architecture, tool selection and critical technical and product decisions. You will work within the existing technology stack and deliver new functionalities for the client platform. The team uses Claude Code to prototype and iterate quickly from user feedback; you remain responsible for understanding, implementing and testing the code you deliver.

What you'll work on

  • Initial backlog and delivery sequence will be defined by client; these are roadmap areas rather than a fixed project scope.

  • Document extraction pipelines. Extend coverage from leases, LOIs, contracts and invoices to a core set of about a dozen document types. Define the right structured fields for each and keep citation linking accurate.

  • AI workflows and portfolio questions. Improve property- and organization-level Ask AI functionality, including prompts, relevant document context, source grounding and output evaluation. Account for long leases, larger portfolios, response quality, latency and token costs.

  • CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliation. Help define and build a new workflow that compares year-end common area maintenance statements with lease terms and flags potential discrepancies for review.

  • Third-party integrations. Assess and implement integrations with customer systems, such as QuickBooks, to bring invoices and financial data into lease administration platform.

  • Daily triage view. A prioritized "what to focus on today or this week" screen built from key dates, tasks and other platform data.

  • Roles and sharing. Mature custom permission scopes so architects, contractors and other third parties can collaborate on specific properties or projects without seeing internal documents.

  • Existing features and reliability. Maintain and improve dashboards, key-date and task notifications, and reporting as priorities are agreed. Diagnose bugs, add meaningful tests, and support safe releases.

Required qualifications

  • Strong professional full-stack development experience at senior individual-contributor level, with hands-on React and TypeScript delivery. Demonstrated independent ownership matters more than a fixed years-of-experience threshold.

  • Hands-on PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, migrations and access controls. Ability to work with Supabase and organization-based row-level security, keeping data models maintainable.

  • Practical experience building and evaluating LLM-powered application features, including structured outputs, prompt design, document context and source grounding. Able to diagnose incorrect answers and handle API failures.

  • Effective use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, with disciplined code review, debugging and testing of generated changes.

  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling authentication, data mapping, synchronization and failure recovery.

  • Works independently: turns loose requirements into shipped features, communicates progress proactively, and knows when to escalate a decision.

  • Strong written and spoken English, sound testing and version-control practices, and availability for several hours of daily overlap with US Central time, including the preferred 9–10 a.m. CT meeting window.

Nice to have

  • Document AI experience: OCR (especially AWS Textract), messy scanned PDFs, citation or source grounding.

  • QuickBooks or other accounting and invoicing API integrations.

  • Familiarity with commercial real estate, lease administration, or CAM reconciliation.

  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS permission models, property- or project-level access, and secure external sharing.

  • An eye for LLM cost optimization, such as routing work to cheaper tools before it reaches the model.

  • Startup or early-team experience.

Technical Requirements

  • Frontend: React, TypeScript

  • Hosting: Vercel

  • Backend and data: Supabase / PostgreSQL with organization-based row-level security; S3 storage

  • AI: Anthropic API (Claude) for extraction and Q&A

  • OCR and parsing: AWS Textract for scanned PDFs; native text extraction for DOCX and digital PDFs

  • Dev tooling: Claude Code (company organization account provided)
