Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Contract, Remote)

About the role

MyDosh is a small Australian fintech building a personal finance app that helps people understand their money. We use open banking (Australia's Consumer Data Right), connecting to people's bank accounts with their consent, to show balances, spending, bills and forecasts. We also have Poppy, an AI assistant that answers questions about your finances. We're looking for a senior engineer to help us ship real product work with a founder you talk to directly, and code that goes straight to users.

Key responsibilities

• Build features across our Next.js web app and API (tRPC)
• Work on background jobs that fetch, clean up and categorise banking data (AWS Lambda + SQS)
• Manage our Postgres database
• Keep things secure and reliable, handling sensitive financial data
• Own features end to end

About you

• 5+ years building production web apps, with solid TypeScript and Postgres
• Shipped with Next.js and at least some AWS serverless (Lambda, queues)
• Take security and privacy seriously
• Write clearly in English and are comfortable working async
• Fintech, banking or open banking experience (nice to have)
• LLM or AI integration experience (nice to have)
• React Native / Expo experience (nice to have)
• Startup experience (nice to have)
