Why This Role Matters:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. In this role, you will build innovative, world-class solutions across both frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to drive high-impact projects and deliver high-quality customer experiences across acquisition, conversion, funding, and long-term growth.

As a Senior Engineer, you will contribute to technical decisions, mentor team members, and help shape engineering practices. Your ability to operate across the full stack will be critical to delivering scalable, reliable systems.

You are a strategic thinker and collaborative partner who holds yourself and others accountable for delivering high-quality, mission-critical outcomes. You continuously ask, “What good looks like?” and “How can we get there most efficiently?”

How You'll Contribute:

  • Build full stack solutions across frontend and backend systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in production
  • Develop user-facing applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Design and implement backend services, APIs, and data models using Kotlin or Java with Spring
  • Work with SQL databases such as MariaDB, Postgres, or similar
  • Contribute to asynchronous and event-driven systems
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to drive technical decisions and deliver business outcomes
  • Own the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Ensure systems are observable through logs, metrics, and tracing
  • Contribute to building and improving agentic and AI-assisted development workflows using tools such as Claude

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience building production systems across frontend and backend
  • Strong experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Strong backend experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring, or similar
  • Experience building APIs and working with SQL databases
  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts including asynchronous processing
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and containerized environments
  • Strong experience with observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar
  • Experience using AI tools in development workflows and familiarity with agentic patterns
  • Experience with event streaming systems such as Kafka
  • Experience in consumer or fintech products

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,000/year plus bonus in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
