Senior full-stack engineer on Kraken's (Payward) growth team, building and shipping consumer-facing features for the crypto exchange — mainly in React Native and TypeScript — while owning A/B experiments end-to-end, improving onboarding and activation, and contributing backend services and APIs (openness to Rust).
You will build and ship consumer features, primarily in React Native and TypeScript. You will own experiments from hypothesis through launch, measurement, and iteration; improve onboarding and activation; build growth features; contribute backend services and APIs; and use experiment results to decide what to scale, refine, or stop.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship consumer-facing features in React Native and TypeScript
- Own experiments from hypothesis through design, launch, measurement, and iteration
- Improve onboarding, activation, and feature discovery
- Build viral acquisition and growth features
- Contribute backend services and APIs for experiments
- Analyze experiment results and decide whether to scale, iterate, or stop initiatives
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience building consumer-facing applications
- Strong hands-on React and React Native experience
- Experience running consumer growth experiments with measurable impact
- Backend proficiency designing and implementing services and APIs
- Openness to working in Rust
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals
- Experience with APIs, WebSockets, real-time systems, mobile performance, testing, and modern development workflows
- Experience designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests
- Experience with feature flags, statistical significance, product analytics, funnel data, and cohort data
- End-to-end product-feature ownership
