Senior Full Stack Engineer (Integration/Identity)

Build the integration platform behind one of Australia's largest technology businesses. Most backend engineering roles focus on delivering features. This one is about building the secure integration and API platforms that connect products, partners and customers at scale.

You'll join a high-performing engineering team responsible for the services that power authentication, secure API access and system integrations across a large consumer technology platform. With major platform initiatives underway, you'll be working on complex backend engineering challenges involving distributed systems, cloud-native architecture and secure B2B integrations.

If you've worked on Open Banking, Consumer Data Right (CDR), API platforms, developer portals or large-scale integration projects, this is the kind of environment you'll feel at home in.

The Role

This is a hands-on Senior Software Engineer position where you'll own medium-sized initiatives from design through to production.
You'll work alongside experienced engineers building secure backend services, modern APIs and event-driven integrations, while helping shape engineering standards and mentoring other developers across the team.

You'll Be Working On

• Designing and building scalable backend services using C# and .NET
• Developing secure APIs and integration platforms
• Building authentication and authorisation into customer and partner-facing services
• Delivering event-driven microservices in a cloud-native environment
• Improving platform reliability, scalability and engineering quality
• Collaborating with engineering teams across Australia and internationally
• Mentoring engineers through design reviews and technical coaching

About You

You'll be a strong backend engineer who enjoys solving complex integration problems and building secure, scalable platforms.
Ideally you'll have experience with:

• C# / .NET 8+ and ASP.NET Core
• API development and backend integration
• OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT or modern authentication patterns
• Microservices and distributed systems
• AWS, Azure or GCP
• Event-driven architecture
• Strong software design and architecture skills

Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:

• Open Banking or Consumer Data Right (CDR)
• API Platforms or Developer Portals
• B2B integrations
• Identity and Access Management
• Identity platforms such as Auth0, Cognito, Okta or Duende IdentityServer
• Public-facing SaaS or consumer technology platforms
