This is an opportunity for a highly skilled software engineer to build secure, AI-enabled applications that support critical enterprise workflows. In this hands-on role, you will design, develop, and deliver full-stack solutions while contributing to modern cloud-native architectures and advanced AI capabilities. You will work across front-end experiences, backend services, integrations, and data layers to create scalable and reliable platforms. The role combines technical leadership with deep engineering execution, requiring someone who enjoys solving complex challenges and mentoring others. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, improve application quality, and deliver impactful solutions in a secure environment.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications across modern web interfaces, backend APIs, data systems, and enterprise integrations.
- Spend significant time actively coding, reviewing, debugging, and shipping production-quality software while maintaining hands-on technical ownership.
- Define application architecture, API contracts, technical solutions, and implementation approaches for complex business requirements.
- Build and enhance AI-enabled application capabilities, including tool calling, prompt workflows, context management, and secure integration with language models.
- Lead technical execution for a small engineering team by providing mentorship, conducting code reviews, and supporting collaborative development practices.
- Develop secure enterprise solutions with strong attention to authentication, authorization, data protection, compliance, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and stakeholder teams to translate requirements into scalable technical implementations.
- Support cloud-native development practices, including containerization, CI/CD processes, automated testing, and system observability.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven ability to build and maintain production-grade applications.
- Strong hands-on programming experience with a typed object-oriented language such as Java, C#, TypeScript, Go, Kotlin, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience developing both modern front-end applications and backend APIs or services.
- Strong understanding of application architecture across front-end, backend, data, and integration layers.
- Experience designing APIs, authentication patterns, data models, error handling strategies, and testing approaches.
- Ability to independently navigate complex codebases, identify solutions, and deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or owning significant feature areas.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Practical knowledge of AI application patterns, including LLM integrations, prompt/control flows, context management, and safe model interaction.
- Experience with secure enterprise environments, sensitive data, permissions, compliance, or regulated systems is highly valued.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Competitive salary range of $120,000 – $180,000 per year.
