Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python, FastAPI & React)

DVT is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing development team building modern, cloud-native products at scale.

This role requires an experienced hands-on engineer with strong backend expertise in Python and FastAPI, combined with modern frontend development experience using React. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end solutions, building scalable APIs, creating intuitive user experiences, and contributing to architecture decisions that support long-term product growth. This is an opportunity to work across the full technology stack while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Backend Development:

• Design and develop production-grade backend services using Python
• Build scalable APIs using FastAPI and asynchronous programming principles
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Develop service-to-service integrations and distributed systems
• Design Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services supporting web and mobile applications
• Build reliable and maintainable microservices

Frontend Development:

• Develop responsive user interfaces using React
• Build reusable frontend components and design systems
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs
• Optimize application performance and user experience
• Work closely with UX and product teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences

Engineering Excellence:

• Participate in architecture and design discussions
• Write automated tests across frontend and backend systems
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members
• Champion best practices around quality, scalability, and security
  

Full Stack Development:

• 5+ years commercial software development experience
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience building production-grade applications using FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Strong experience with React
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Experience developing scalable web applications

API & Architecture:

• RESTful API design and development
• Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture
• Mobile-first API design
• Microservices architecture
• Service integration patterns

Authentication & Security:

• OAuth2 implementation
• OpenID Connect (OIDC)
• JWT authentication
• Token management
• Service-to-service authentication
• API security best practices

Databases & Cloud:

• PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Database design and optimization
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Git workflows
