Join the Equity Accelerator programme, a strategic multi-year transformation initiative focused on modernizing Prime Finance Equities platforms. The role involves developing and enhancing institutional-grade trading and post-trade systems using cloud-native, event-driven architectures while delivering advanced client-facing features. Engineers will work within a complex production environment, combining deep technical expertise with strong capital markets knowledge.
Responsibilities
- - Design, develop, and support full-stack solutions across frontend and backend components. - Build and enhance event-driven trading and post-trade applications. - Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions. - Develop responsive and real-time user interfaces for equities platforms. - Implement and maintain APIs, messaging integrations, and backend services. - Ensure high code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD). - Participate in CI/CD practices, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases. - Troubleshoot production issues and maintain data integrity in complex market environments. - Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering peers. - Apply capital markets domain expertise to business and technical problem-solving. - Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices.
SKILLS
Must have
- - 7+ years of Java development experience. - 2+ years of commercial Kotlin development experience. - 2+ years of frontend development experience with React and/or Angular. - Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills. - Proven experience designing and developing event-driven distributed systems. - Hands-on experience with messaging patterns, event processing, resiliency, and failure handling. - Strong Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and end-to-end ownership of software quality. - Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases. - Hands-on experience in capital markets, including trade lifecycle and position management. - Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets or streaming technologies. - Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and operate independently in complex production environments.
