The Opportunity
A Rails backend that works, and a React front end that's overdue for a skilled product engineer to actually own it. That's the job: full-stack with real license to modernise.
The platform itself is a household name: used daily by businesses across ANZ to run their marketing and campaign workflow, mature, sticky, genuinely load-bearing for the customers on it.
The Role
- Full-stack across Rails and React, PostgreSQL and AWS, on a squad small enough that your calls actually shape the codebase
- Genuine mandate to transform the front end, not just bolt features onto it
- Working closely with Product on a platform with a real, established customer base
What You'll Bring
- Strong commercial experience with Ruby on Rails
- Confidence working in React, including modernising or refactoring existing front-end code
- Comfort working across the full stack, not just one end of it
- Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS in a production environmentExperience with PostgreSQL and AWS in a production environment
- A track record of shipping features on a mature product used by real customers at scale
- Experience with an adjacent framework such as Django, Phoenix or Laravel, if your product engineering background is strong
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices and cloud design patterns
