Senior Full Stack Developer maintaining an existing Angular web platform that handles sensitive health information and converting it into cross-platform iOS/Android apps using Ionic and Capacitor. Day to day involves building features, integrating APIs, managing mobile builds/deployments, and ensuring security standards within a lean team.
Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to develop and maintain its existing web platform while expanding its capabilities to iOS and Android.
The primary focus will be transitioning an existing Angular web application into cross-platform mobile applications using technologies such as Ionic and Capacitor, followed by ongoing development and maintenance across web and mobile.
You'll work within a lean technology team, taking ownership of development activities and delivering reliable, secure applications handling sensitive health information.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an existing Angular-based web application.
- Convert the existing Angular application into cross-platform iOS and Android applications using Capacitor / Ionic.
- Build new features and enhancements across web and mobile platforms.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Integrate frontend applications with existing APIs and backend services.
- Ensure applications meet appropriate security, privacy, and data protection standards.
- Manage mobile application builds, deployments, and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with a small technology team to deliver development priorities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using Ionic, Capacitor, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of iOS and Android application development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with backend services.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and handling sensitive data.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of development tasks.
- Willingness to undergo background screening and relevant security checks.
Nice to Have
- Experience converting existing web applications into mobile applications.
- Previous experience in healthcare, MedTech, or non-profit organisations.
- Understanding of Australian health data privacy and security requirements (owasp).
- Experience working within small, resource-constrained engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Apple App Store and Google Play deployment processes.
