This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer (React/Node) (Backend-Focused) - Real Estate based in Brazil.
This is a high-impact engineering opportunity focused on building resilient, scalable, and data-intensive systems for a technology-driven real estate environment.
You will own features end-to-end, from PostgreSQL schema design and distributed backend services to polished React and Next.js experiences.
The role places a strong emphasis on reliability, data integrity, asynchronous processing, and operational excellence.
You will design systems that integrate with third-party platforms through webhooks, queues, retries, and reconciliation workflows.
Working within an autonomous engineering environment, you will influence architecture, mentor teammates, and contribute to technical standards.
Modern AI-assisted development tools will be part of the engineering workflow, helping accelerate delivery while maintaining high-quality software practices.

Accountabilities:
- Own the full lifecycle of product features, from database schema design and backend implementation through frontend development, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable event-driven and distributed systems with strong reliability and data-consistency guarantees.
- Build and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, migrations, and transactional workflows for high-performance applications.
- Develop resilient integrations with third-party systems using webhooks, queues, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation processes.
- Implement reliability patterns such as idempotency, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and fault-tolerant asynchronous processing.
- Build responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React, Next.js, and modern TypeScript practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve scalability, observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or comparable agentic coding platforms to improve engineering productivity and delivery speed.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote strong engineering practices for sensitive financial and transactional data.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver intuitive and reliable user experiences.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using platforms such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud resource management using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Ensure solutions follow appropriate security, compliance, and regulated-environment requirements, including SOC2 and PCI-DSS standards where applicable.
- 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer building and delivering production-ready applications end-to-end.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with advanced experience in React and Next.js.
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and database engineering, including raw SQL, query optimization, migrations, and performance analysis.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining event-driven and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering patterns, including idempotency keys, retry strategies, dead-letter queues, outbox patterns, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience designing webhook-driven architectures and integrating third-party systems.
- Strong understanding of scalable architectures, asynchronous processing, fault tolerance, and distributed-system behavior.
- Experience working with financial, payments, billing, payroll, ledgering, or other high-transaction-volume systems.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar agentic coding platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills, with particular attention to edge cases, reliability, and data integrity.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously within high-impact engineering teams.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi is a plus.
- Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry is advantageous.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments, including SOC2 or PCI-DSS, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of property-based testing frameworks such as fast-check is a plus.
- Experience optimizing applications for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence is valued.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or contributing to technical leadership initiatives is advantageous.
- Exposure to modern AI-enhanced engineering workflows and automation practices is beneficial.
