What you'll do

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will work directly with our Chief Technology Officer to build and extend our AI-first technology suite. This role is central to our engineering strategy — you will use Claude Code and the Anthropic API daily to build intelligent clinical workflows, automate patient communication, and extend our no-code pathway builder with LLM capabilities.

You'll work across our three core products:

No-code pathway builder for clinical journey design

Communication management CRM for patient interactions

Interoperability layer for real-time data feed ingestion

AI Engineering

Build and maintain AI-powered features using Claude Code and the Anthropic API

Design prompt engineering strategies for patient-facing and internal clinical workflows

Integrate LLM capabilities responsibly within HIPAA-compliant systems

Build guardrails and safety layers for AI-generated patient-facing content

Evaluate new AI capabilities and determine production readiness

Full Stack Development

Collaborate with the CTO to develop features and updates across our technology suite

Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software to meet clinical and product requirements

Design and implement scalable APIs and data pipelines for real-time patient interactions

Contribute to code reviews and architecture discussions

Ensure all systems adhere to regulatory security standards (HIPAA, SOC 2)

Scope projects from customer interviews and shadow sessions to drive product decisions

Communication

Communicate effectively with clinical teams, business users, and external partners

Mentor and support other team members in executing on product

Foster cross-functional collaboration on system design and product scoping

Required Skills & Experience


Claude Code & Anthropic API: Hands-on production experience required

LLM Integration: Experience building with LLMs in production environments

Full Stack: 5+ years across frontend and backend (React, Node.js, Python, or similar)

Data Integration: Experience ingesting and normalizing third-party data feeds

Healthcare/Regulated Tech: Understanding of HIPAA or similar compliance frameworks

Startup Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity, fast pace, and wearing multiple hats

Preferred Skills

Experience with no-code/low-code platform development

Workflow engine or rules engine design

AI safety practices in regulated or sensitive domains

Real-time communication systems at scale


Pay Range $175K-$250K depending on experience. Candidate needs to be located in San Francisco.
