Senior Full-Stack Engineer
EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, dedicated, remote SCHEDULE: U.S. Eastern Time hours EXPERIENCE: 8+ years in production engineering****
Role Overview: We are looking for a senior engineer who can own systems end to end, from architecture and development through deployment, reliability, and production support. This role requires strong hands-on expertise across backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, databases, integrations, and security.
Required Capabilities • 8+ years of production engineering experience • Deep expertise in Python, including Django and FastAPI • Strong experience with React or an equivalent modern JavaScript framework • Full AWS infrastructure experience, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Route 53, SQS/SNS, and Secrets Manager • Advanced PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and replication • Elasticsearch experience, including indexing, query optimization, and cluster management • Redis and Celery experience for caching and asynchronous task infrastructure • Experience integrating third-party APIs across multiple vendors • Hands-on experience with LLM integrations, including Anthropic and OpenAI APIs • Experience building data pipelines and aggregation systems • Security-conscious engineering experience, including encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging, and role-based access control • Ability to own systems from architecture through production deployment and ongoing support
Nice to Have • Data engineering or ETL background • Machine learning or applied AI engineering experience • Experience building infrastructure for regulated industries
Tenure and Candidate Profile • Four or more years at each of the candidate's last two companies is preferred • A track record of long-term system ownership rather than frequent short-term roles • Strong references from managers who worked with the candidate for at least three years • A long-term mindset and commitment to the systems and products they build
