Senior Full Stack Engineer
Summary
Senior full-stack engineer at a growing FinTech building financial planning and modelling applications: you own features from design to production using TypeScript, React and Node.js with MongoDB/Redis, while improving architecture, performance, CI/CD, testing and mentoring other engineers.
In this role you will design, build and maintain complex full‑stack financial planning and modelling applications for a growing FinTech. You will own development from design to production, influence architecture, and help raise engineering standards. You’ll work closely with Product and business stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions and contribute to performance, scalability, and security improvements. The role offers meaningful technical contribution and exposure to modern technologies in a mission-driven financial software environment.
Responsibilities- Design, build and maintain full-stack financial planning and modelling applications
- Take ownership of development from technical design through to production
- Contribute to architecture, performance, scalability and security improvements
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing
- Use AI development tools, ensuring generated code meets engineering standards
- Lead code reviews, share knowledge and support the development of other engineers
- Work closely with Product and business stakeholders to deliver practical technical solutions
- Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
- Full-stack development experience using React and Node.js
- Experience designing scalable applications and APIs
- Knowledge of MongoDB, Redis or similar technologies
- Experience with CI/CD, containerised environments, and automated testing
- Strong technical judgement, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with cloud platforms and AI-assisted development tools would be beneficial
