Summary
Senior full-stack engineer joining a fast-growing London-based sports tech start-up as one of its first UK engineers. You own architecture and end-to-end delivery of consumer-facing, data-driven features for real-time sports and betting, working with TypeScript, React, APIs, and Rust.
As one of the UK’s first engineers, you will own the architecture and drive end-to-end product delivery in a fast-growing sports tech start-up. You’ll build consumer-facing features from ground up, shaping data-driven products for real-time sports and betting. This London-based, onsite role offers ownership, collaboration with a small team, and the chance to scale the UK operation as the company expands into US sports. You’ll leverage modern frontend and backend tech to ship impactful, data-led experiences.

- Own features end-to-end from design through release and data reporting
- Architect and implement web and API services, and ship consumer-facing products
- Support the full software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to align on product and technical direction
- Evaluate and adopt AI tooling to accelerate development and inform team practices
- Contribute to real-time systems and data workflows related to sports data and betting
- Strong front-end and back-end skills with TypeScript, React, and APIs
- Knowledge of Rust for backend capabilities
- Experience shipping consumer-facing products, ideally with direct-to-consumer subscriptions
- Ability to own features end-to-end across design, release, and data reporting
- Familiarity with AI tooling to speed development and guide team choices
- Start-up experience or background in scaling companies
- Experience building real-time systems, in-play chat, live sports data or betting tech
