Role – Senior Full Stack + API Development

Location –Sydney, Australia

Duration:- Contract

- UI Developer with experience in React and Node.js to design, develop and maintain modern, responsive web application.
- Build reusable and accessible UI components using React.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs using Node.js.
- Translate designs and requirements into high-quality solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
- Plan technical changes and communicate progress, risks and dependencies to the team and Principal Engineers.
- Collaborate effectively with API developers and principal engineers.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git.
- Basic understanding of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar).
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, and delivery outcomes.
- API Developer with Java and Spring Boot experience to design and develop APIs. The successful candidate will work to deliver reliable RESTful services.
- Experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Understanding of REST API design principles and best practices.
- Experience with microservices architecture and API integration patterns.
- Knowledge of API security concepts JWT, TLS, and authentication/authorisation mechanisms.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Understanding of automated testing practices.
- Ability to assess the impact of proposed API changes and plan implementation activities.
- Ability to communicate technical decisions, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines effectively.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and presenting solutions to Principal Engineers.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices and integration solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into API designs.
- Produce and maintain API documentation, including OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
- Ensure APIs comply with enterprise security, performance, and quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, identifying and implementing root-cause fixes.
- Plan and coordinate API changes, releases, and versioning strategies.
- Communicate technical designs, delivery plans, risks, and progress to team members and Principal Engineers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development, testing, and deployment processes.
