We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer - Typescript to take a leadership role in shaping and scaling our cloud and web platform as we expand globally.
The Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a greenfield software development project, helping shape a new customer-facing platform from the ground up.
You'll be responsible for building the applications and services that turn complex, high-volume sensor data into intuitive dashboards, visualisations, reports and workflows that customers rely on to manage their infrastructure.
The role spans front-end development, backend services, data architecture and cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on building an engaging and highly functional user experience.
You'll have significant influence over technology choices, application architecture and product direction, working closely with our engineering and product teams to bring new capabilities to market.
You will be working on:
Building a next-generation web platform — architecting and developing a modern, scalable customer-facing application from the ground up.
Data visualisation and analytics — creating interactive dashboards, charts and interfaces that allow customers to explore and understand large volumes of sensor and infrastructure data.
Reporting and insights — developing flexible reporting capabilities, data exploration tools and automated workflows that turn raw data into actionable information.
Customer-facing functionality — building features for managing users, permissions, configurations, notifications and interactions with our products and services.
Backend services and APIs — designing secure, scalable services and data access layers to support rich front-end experiences.
Data architecture — developing efficient data models, queries and storage strategies for working with large, complex datasets.
This is a hands-on engineering role. We're looking for someone who enjoys writing great software as much as designing the systems behind it.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
Strong experience with React or similar modern front-end frameworks.
Proven experience designing, developing and delivering complex web applications.
Experience building backend APIs, services and data access layers.
Solid understanding of modern web application architecture, scalability, security and performance.
Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
Ability to take ownership of technical challenges, make architectural decisions and deliver solutions with a high degree of independence.
Ideally you’ll also have experience with:
Building data-intensive applications, including interactive dashboards, analytics and reporting tools.
Data visualisation libraries and techniques for presenting complex datasets.
MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, including data modelling and query optimisation.
Serverless architectures, including Lambda, queues and event-driven workflows.
Designing user interfaces and workflows with a strong focus on usability and customer experience.
Working on greenfield products or taking ownership of significant new product development.
We're particularly interested in engineers who can think beyond individual features and contribute to how the overall product should work — balancing great user experiences with robust, maintainable technical architecture.
