Senior Full-Stack Python Developer
Summary
Senior Python developer builds AI-driven backend systems and Angular frontends for an insurance document automation platform using Python, Azure AI, and cloud DevOps.
We are looking for a Senior Python Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in backend development and solid hands-on experience with Angular (latest versions preferred but not a must-have) to join a project focused on AI-driven automation in the insurance domain, specifically building a system for submission processing and document automation.
Schedule: 5 am-1 pm EST (11:00-20:00 Kyiv time).
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Architect systems to reduce risks related to availability, latency, and efficiency
- Work with relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL) and optimize their performance
- Apply GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, and Vector stores to real-world automation use cases
- Apply Prompt Engineering techniques to build solutions for automation of insurance processes
- Contribute to architectural discussions with a focus on scalability and maintainability
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and application deployment using Azure DevOps and Docker / Container Apps
- Support production deployments and environment configuration
- Apply SRE best practices, define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Implement observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and tracing
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and mitigate performance and availability risks
Requirements
- 5+ years of Python development experience, with commercial experience in Angular
- Strong knowledge of Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
- Experience with REST APIs and API documentation tools such as Swagger
- Experience designing and maintaining production-grade systems
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Prompt Engineering (GPT, OCR / Document Intelligence, Azure AI Services, Vector stores)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Understanding of SLIs/SLOs and reliability principles, along with system performance, scalability, and availability
- Experience working in Agile environments
- English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with high-load systems
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Understanding of DevOps practice
- Background in the insurance domain
