Senior full stack engineer joining a leading bank in Sandton, Johannesburg, to design and build enterprise-scale digital banking applications. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, You Will
- Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance full stack applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into innovative software solutions.
- Build and maintain both front-end and back-end components of enterprise applications.
- Develop reusable APIs, libraries, and software components.
- Design and optimise SQL and NoSQL database solutions.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Develop event-driven solutions and distributed systems.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Drive automated testing, CI/CD, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability.
- Work closely with Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical innovation and continuously improve engineering standards across the team.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- 6+ years of experience in full stack software development.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Banking or financial services experience will be highly advantageous.
