Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Scrum team and tackle a variety of back-end and front-end tasks. The successful candidate will have strong experience in Python and an Infrastructure as Code approach. The candidate should also have experience with AWS, Postgres relational DB, and Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind on the front end. This role involves active collaboration within the team, conducting code reviews, and participating in all Scrum ceremonies. The individual should be strong in AI and able to work independently without needing close supervision

Responsibilities

• Handle both back-end and front-end development tasks across the product
• Collaborate closely with fellow team members to streamline and improve the development process
• Take part in code reviews and help uphold high coding standards across the codebase
• Actively engage in the team's Scrum ceremonies, contributing meaningfully to the agile workflow
• Diagnose and resolve bugs and security vulnerabilities in a timely, efficient manner

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in full-stack software development
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, specifically FastAPI, for building backend services
• Practical experience applying an Infrastructure as Code approach to manage and provision cloud resources
• Working experience with AWS for deploying and managing cloud-based applications
• Experience with Postgres as a relational database for data storage and management
• Proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind for building modern front-end applications
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON for building and consuming web services
• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, REST architecture, and common design patterns
• Hands-on experience working within Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Strong troubleshooting abilities, with a track record of effectively resolving bugs
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team
• Quick aptitude for picking up new tools and technologies as needed
• Working knowledge of AI technologies, including Claude and the application of AI throughout the software development lifecycle
• Familiarity with AI native engineering practices and approaches
• Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and their practical applications
• Fluent English communication skills at a C1 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience remediating accessibility-related bugs and issues
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.x accessibility standards and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of CSS and SASS for styling and maintaining front-end applications
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services for cloud infrastructure management
• Familiarity with Anthropic Claude for AI-assisted development work
• Proficiency with ReactJS for building interactive user interfaces
