Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (m/f/d)
Summary
Senior full-stack engineer building HYPE Boards, a multi-tenant SaaS idea-management platform: a large Django/Python backend with a JavaScript SPA frontend on AWS. Day to day is roughly half backend, half frontend — REST API design, safe refactoring of a long-lived codebase, AI-powered features, integrations, production debugging, and automated testing shipped via CI/CD.

We are currently looking for a
Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (m/f/d)
Location: Hybrid – 50% on-site in Espoo, Finland
Your tasks
You’ll work on HYPE Boards, our multi-tenant SaaS idea-management product. It’s a large, long-lived Django codebase with a JavaScript single-page frontend, running on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
Key Responsibilities
- Build new product features across the full stack, roughly half backend (Python, Django, Django REST Framework) and half frontend (JavaScript)
- Design and extend REST APIs
- Refactor and modernize a large codebase safely
- Build and maintain integrations with external tools
- Contribute to our growing set of AI-powered features
- Analyze and resolve performance, database and integration issues in production
- Review code with a security mindset
- Write automated API, unit and end-to-end tests, and ship through CI/CD
Your profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
- 8+ years of professional experience with Python and Django
- Solid experience designing APIs with Django REST Framework
- Strong PostgreSQL skills, including query tuning and migrations on live data
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications and authorization models
- Solid JavaScript skills and experience refactoring legacy frontend code
- A disciplined approach to testing (API, unit and end-to-end)
- Ability to read and debug infrastructure: Docker and Terraform
- Web security knowledge: OWASP, OAuth2, SAML/SSO
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, review and refactoring
- Strong analytical skills, a sense of ownership and responsibility, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Very good English language skills
