Senior Fullstack (Angular/Java) Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer (Java/Angular) to join our client's Financial Applications (FinApps) team. The team is digitalising and industrialising internal financial processes that currently run mainly in Excel and Access, turning them into robust Java/Angular applications and microservices built on the client's approved technology stack.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who can own the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through development, testing, release, deployment, documentation, and application support, and who works hands-on with AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex) as part of everyday development.

This is a long-term, full-time remote contract position from 1.12 2026 until 30.11. 2030, with occasional on-site attendance of approx. 5 working days per year, subject to prior notice.

Responsibilities

• Gather and clarify business requirements; analyse existing processes, applications, and new user needs.

• Design, implement, and support Java/Angular applications and microservices following the client's approved processes and technology stack.

• Replace Excel- and Access-based processes with maintainable, automated applications.

• Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests; execute system and performance testing.

• Support UAT, business sign-off, release preparation, and release management, including ServiceNow change-management approvals.

• Check source code, configuration, automated tests, and technical documentation (incl. Javadoc/Asciidoc) into Git.

• Produce requirements and design documents, operator and end-user documentation, and deliver stakeholder training where required.

• Participate in agile ceremonies and manage reporting, change activities, risks, issues, and stakeholder communication.

• 7+ years of hands-on professional Java development, including production releases (10+ years for Expert level).

• Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent; substantial hands-on Java experience may substitute for a degree.

• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate, linked to dated assignments and personally implemented functionality.

• Personally written and maintained automated unit and integration tests for Java applications, with the testing frameworks used clearly identified.

• Angular frontend development with TypeScript/JavaScript, including specific Angular versions, implemented functionality, and backend API integration.

• AI-agent-driven development with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Codex, including agent-led implementation, modification, review, and testing. Code completion alone is not sufficient.

• Git-based team workflow (branches, pull/merge requests, code review), plus SQL, relational databases, XML, YAML, and JSON.

• Strong stakeholder communication, systematic problem-solving, prioritisation, delivery organisation, and concise reporting.
