Senior Fullstack developer (Node.js and React Native)

emagine is looking for a Senior Fullstack developer that will join a cross-functional product team responsible for building and enhancing customer-facing digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The team develops features that help users discover, interact with, and benefit from personalized offerings throughout their digital journey. This is a high-traffic area with significant impact on user engagement and business outcomes.

This is a true full-stack role with responsibilities spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across different parts of the stack and can move between disciplines as the needs of the team evolve. While deep expertise in every area is not expected, we value developers who are curious, adaptable, and eager to take on new challenges. A willingness to learn, contribute broadly, and work outside of one's primary area of expertise is a strong advantage.

About the role

• Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing experiences across web and mobile applications.

• Build and support backend services that power product discovery, personalization, content delivery, and customer interactions at scale.

• Develop APIs and integrations with multiple internal and external systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

• Drive product improvements through instrumentation, experimentation, feature flagging, and data-driven decision-making.

• Own features end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational support.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development and React / React Native for frontend development.

• Experience building and operating large-scale consumer-facing applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.

• Solid understanding of backend architecture, including database technologies such as DynamoDB and PostgreSQL, event-driven systems using Kafka, and caching strategies with Redis.

• Comfortable working with distributed systems and integrating multiple services while ensuring resilience and graceful error handling.

• Experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and controlled feature rollouts.

• Background in digital products, e-commerce, marketplaces, financial services, consumer technology, or similar industries is considered a strong advantage.

• Strong adoption of AI-assisted development practices and modern engineering tools to improve productivity and quality.

• Self-driven, energetic, and comfortable taking ownership from concept through production.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
