Senior Fullstack Developer (Python/Node/React)

Summary

Builds a React/Node/Python AI-powered edtech platform that generates interactive lessons and integrates with Canvas LMS, ensuring child-safe content and clean pipeline integration.

We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to help build and scale an AI-powered education tool. You'll work on a system that creates interactive, age-appropriate learning content and integrates with Canvas LMS. This is a greenfield build with a short runway, requiring someone who can move fast across the stack and make sound architectural decisions.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain the full application stack using React on the front end and Node.js and Python on the backend.

  • Design and implement integrations between the lesson generation system, upstream curriculum services, and Canvas LMS.

  • Work with LLM APIs to generate interactive content.

  • Build content guardrails to ensure child-safe vocabulary, tone, and media appropriate for different age groups.

  • Develop a UI that allows users to edit, remove, add, and swap content and images before publishing.

  • Ensure all generated content is fully Canvas-compatible and integrates cleanly into the broader content pipeline.

  • Collaborate closely with a highly collaborative, distributed team to shape architecture and product direction.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of fullstack development experience with strong fundamentals in both frontend and backend.

  • 4+ years working with Python and Node.js in production environments.

  • 4+ years building modern web applications with React and JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design, integration patterns, and third-party service orchestration.

  • Experience with LMS platforms or EdTech integrations is a strong plus.

  • Advanced English.

  • Able to navigate ambiguity, make architectural trade-offs, and ship quickly without sacrificing quality.

What we offer

  • Fully remote work.

  • Direct impact on the product and its architecture.

  • Modern tech stack with cutting-edge AI tooling and interactive content delivery.
