The Role
We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who's ready to step into a Tech Lead seat - owning architecture decisions, driving delivery, and mentoring a small team of developers toward a focused MVP launch.
You'll be the person the team looks to when something's hard. You'll be the one who reads the spec, spots the landmines early, and builds the foundation that doesn't need to be rearchitected six months later.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end architecture across backend services and frontend interfaces
- Core platform modules: digital wallet flows, commission & referral logic, ecommerce engine, QR-based interactions, voucher and campaign systems
- AI feature integration - recommendation logic, scoring models, intelligent alerts for users and merchants
- Technical team leadership: task breakdown, PR reviews, unblocking, keeping the team honest on quality and timeline
- Direct communication with product stakeholders - no PM middleman, no bureaucracy
What We're Looking For
Technical
- 4+ years of fullstack experience - genuinely comfortable on both sides
- Strong backend fundamentals: Node.js / NestJS or equivalent; REST API design; transactional data integrity
- Solid frontend skills: React / Next.js; clean, maintainable component architecture
- Experience with financial or payment flows - wallets, settlements, refund handling, payout logic
- Multi-tenant or multi-site platform experience
- Attribution / deep link tracking implementation (mobile or web)
AI & Intelligence
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, or similar)
- Familiarity with recommendation systems, agent logic, or behavioral scoring
- Able to bridge AI capabilities with practical, shippable product features
Leadership
- Has actually led a team before - not just "mentored juniors informally"
- Strong communicator in English - written and verbal
- Proactive by default; surfaces problems before they become incidents
Nice to Have
- Background in fintech, social commerce, or loyalty/rewards platforms
- Exposure to compliance considerations: KYC, AML, audit logging
- Experience shipping products across Southeast Asian markets
