Senior Functional Safety Engineer

You will support functional safety for autonomous vehicle software. You will analyze system products for design and architectural vulnerabilities, derive technical and software safety requirements for safety-critical subsystems, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute functional-safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to functional safety for autonomous vehicle software
• Perform safety analysis of system products to identify design and architectural vulnerabilities
• Derive technical and software safety requirements for safety-critical software subsystems
• Execute functional safety processes with guidance and clear instructions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve consensus

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a systems engineer, safety engineer, or software engineer for a safety-critical product
• Experience performing safety-oriented analysis at the software architectural level
• Experience conducting design trade studies and formulating design proposals
• Experience establishing and executing software development best practices
• Experience working with large, complex teams
• Communication and presentation skills
