Join our Consulting team in GDS Mexico as a Senior Accountant, supporting the accounting and administration of complex real estate investment structures.

This role is ideal for accounting professionals with 5 to 6 years of experience who have strong accounting fundamentals and experience in areas such as fund accounting, financial reporting, audit, controllership, record-to-report, investment accounting, or real estate accounting.

What will you do?

• Prepare and review journal entries, trial balances and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Participate in NAV and financial reporting activities.
• Review cash, expenses, capital activity and supporting accounting schedules.
• Analyze accounting differences and follow up on outstanding items.
• Support financial statement and investor reporting activities.
• Review the work performed by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Support audits and maintain appropriate accounting documentation.
• Work with international stakeholders and coordinate recurring accounting deliverables.
• Participate in process improvements, standardization and automation initiatives.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
• 5 to 6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of:
• General accounting
• Journal entries
• Account reconciliations
• Trial balance
• Month-end / period-end close
• Financial statements
• Financial reporting
• Experience in Fund Accounting, Private Equity, Investment Accounting or Real Estate is preferred but not mandatory.
• Candidates coming from Audit, Controllership, Record-to-Report or Financial Reporting may also be considered.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Advanced English, as the position involves interaction with international stakeholders.
