Senior Fund Finance Manager - Buy-Side Multi-Asset

Our client is a Singapore-headquartered private investment manager, institutionally backed and investing on a multi-asset basis across both public and private markets, looking to hire a Senior Fund Accountant to take ownership of fund accounting, investment reporting and regulatory filings.

The role sits within a lean finance and operations team and covers the full spread from NAV preparation and custodian reconciliations through to performance reporting, investor packs and statutory submissions. It would suit someone with a solid fund accounting foundation who wants broader scope and direct exposure to senior stakeholders, rather than a narrow, single-process seat.

Responsibilities for the Senior Fund Accountant:

  • Handle fund accounting and administration, including NAV preparation.
  • Reconcile cash and positions against custodian statements.
  • Own monthly portfolio performance reporting, covering returns, risk measures and benchmark comparisons.
  • Track and review the performance of existing holdings.
  • Prepare investor packs and recommendations supporting investment committee and board approvals.
  • Produce and present operations reporting, including performance, risk and compliance reports, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory and regulatory financial reports, including GST filings.
  • Support KYC and AML review requirements, annual statutory filing and sundry regulatory reporting.
  • Streamline investment reporting processes and improve data integrity across the reporting cycle.

Requirements for the Senior Fund Accountant:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in fund accounting, investment reporting or a related area.
  • Working knowledge of investment products, financial markets and industry regulations, with familiarity across equities, fixed income and alternatives.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions from them.
  • Comfortable managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of identifying operational inefficiencies and acting on them.
  • Confident communicating with senior stakeholders, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with familiarity with Bloomberg or other portfolio management software.
  • Self-motivated and hands-on, comfortable working independently in a lean team environment.
