Senior General Accountant | Onsite in Shaw | Nightshift
About the role
The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting through ownership of month-end close activities, comprehensive account reconciliations, and preparation of the monthly financial reporting packages. This role serves as a trusted business partner to cross-functional teams, supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis while maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The Senior Accountant will also play a critical role in external audit coordination and drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and systems. This role will report to the Assistant Controller.

About you
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Master's degree in Accounting or Business (MAcc, MBA, etc.) preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment
Minimum of 3 years in public accounting experience, with demonstrated ability to independently manage month-end close and reporting responsibilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles (journal entries and account reconciliations)
