Senior General Test Engineer (AI-First, TypeScript/Playwright), JR732
The Customer is building a safety network that connects consumers, enterprises, monitoring centers, first responders, and emergency services. This is a platform for transmitting critical data.
We are looking for a Senior General Test Engineer to join the AI-first incident management team. Strong ownership, proactive communication, and AI fluency are essential for success in this role.
REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of software testing experience, including both manual and automated testing

Strong experience in API and end-to-end test automation using Playwright and TypeScript

Experience designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks for API/backend testing

Experience leveraging AI across the full SDLC, not limited to end-to-end test automation

Proven experience defining and driving quality strategy across the SDLC

Experience establishing QA processes, testing standards, and test management practices from scratch in a greenfield environment

Experience collaborating with engineers and product stakeholders to define feature specifications, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios

Experience setting up and maintaining mock servers and stubs for external service integrations
- Ability to extend automation coverage from backend services to frontend applications
- Strong understanding of test architecture, mocking strategies, and test data management
- Experience developing and maintaining end-to-end automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to combine AI-assisted testing with exploratory and critical-thinking approaches to identify issues beyond automated coverage
- Senior-level quality engineering mindset with ownership of overall product quality, not just test automation
- Highly self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working in a greenfield environment with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications as well as product functionality to convert them into quality control process artefacts
- Prepare and acquire test data
- Develop, execute, refactor and optimize automation scripts
- Log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
- Use automation scripts administration, monitoring, and management tools
- Provide automation test environment setup
- Review test artefacts developed by others
- Contribute to automation process control definition and improvement
- Provide new automation tools or approaches investigation and implementation
- Provide test documentation creation
- Communicate with a customer
- Implement and execute tests at all planned levels, log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results
- Create, validate, update test documentation (test cases, test plan, etc).
- Contribute to general project quality assurance process
- Analyse/improve/establish test process on a project
- Analyse coverage for project test basis
- Define relevant metrics for project
- Define, prioritize and estimate needed Test Efforts
- Measure performance of components and systems (if applicable)
