SENIOR GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

Peak Partners is exclusively partnered with a mining business that is developing a new, one of a kind underground project, set to ramp up in 2027. The operation will be mined using sub level caving (SLC) methods, ramping up to 4Mtpa with a mine life of more than 10 years and some exciting options for future growth projects. This is a rare opportunity to join the technical team at the ground floor of a new underground operation and help shape how the mine is planned for years to come.

THE ROLE

As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer joining during a key stage of the project, you will help shape ground support standards, monitoring systems and geotechnical practices as the operation develops. You will provide key technical leadership and governance for all geotechnical matters and be a key leader in the technical services team.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Tertiary qualifications in geotechnical engineering
• Sub level caving experience is essential
• Strong underground experience in challenging ground conditions
• Sound knowledge of rock mechanics, ground support design and geotechnical risk management
• The ability to translate technical findings into clear operational advice
• A practical, collaborative approach and strong safety focus
