Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Glasgow team. This is a varied role covering the delivery of geotechnical projects across Scotland, with the opportunity to take responsibility for technical delivery, client liaison and project management.
The role will involve:
- Managing and delivering geotechnical investigations and assessments from planning through to completion.
- Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative and factual reports.
- Geotechnical analysis and design, including foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks.
- Reviewing ground investigation data and developing ground models.
- Supporting and managing site investigations and working closely with contractors.
- Providing technical input into larger multidisciplinary projects.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
- Mentoring junior and graduate engineers and providing technical guidance.
- Contributing to fee proposals, tenders and project management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong previous experience working within a geotechnical consultancy.
- Experience in geotechnical design and interpretation of ground investigation data.
- Good technical report writing skills.
- Experience managing projects and liaising directly with clients.
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence.
