Your Opportunity
The role of the Senior Geotechnical Engineer provides the opportunity to work on engineering and geotechnical projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. Ideally, you will be working out of our Burnaby, British Columbia office, however, we are also open to candidates based in one of our other Stantec offices throughout British Columbia. This role will allow you to leverage your geotechnical engineering skills and project management experience, lead project work, provide mentorship to junior staff and assist them with the development of their technical skills, and contribute to the growth of the geotechnical team.

Your Key Responsibilities
· Working on a variety of projects spanning from transportation, commercial/industrial developments, water and wastewater, transmission and oil & gas
· Collaborating with our staff to complete Geotechnical Engineering design/analysis, provide recommendations and prepare Geotechnical reports to address applicable issues, such as site preparation, ground improvement options, foundation design (shallow and deep foundations), slope stability, seismic hazard, and others
· Preparing proposals (developing scopes and budgets)
· Reviewing project documents for technical accuracy and competency
· Project managing multiple geotechnical projects
· Managing clients and contractors
· Overseeing work performed by Intermediate staff, EIT’s, and technical staff
