We have immediate openings, and are looking a qualified senior GIS Programmer/Systems Analyst with 5 or more years of experience to join our certified, awarding winning, and innovative IT team! Job location is in Baltimore County.

The Senior GIS Programmer/Systems Analyst will perform application development and support activities supporting the Office of Information Technology’s GIS Program and the Office of Planning for Baltimore County. The programmer will assist in the upgrade and development of an Agricultural Preservation Model, upgrading the current custom ArcMap AddIn (C#/Python ) to an ArcGIS Pro AddIn. This position follows a hybrid work schedule established in coordination with the hiring manager after onboarding, training and issuance of equipment. The consultant may work remotely up to 2 days per week, equivalent to approximately 40% remote and 60% onsite. Fully remote or out-of-state employment is not authorized at this time.

The selected candidate must pass a comprehensive security background check by the Baltimore County Police Department in order to be hired into employment. Please provide at least two references, including phone numbers, where you have performed similar services to those outlined below.

​What You Will Get to Do:

• GIS application development in an Enterprise GIS environment
• Code review, documentation, planning, and development
• Database development.

Qualifications You Will Bring:

Minimum Required:

• Minimum of five (5) years developing and modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript,
  HTML, C#, Python.
• Minimum of three (3) years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server,
  ArcGIS API’s, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDK’s, and ArcSDE
• Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python
• Strong Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
• Development of reports using SSRS, Power BI
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server preferred)
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Business,
  Computer Science, or a related field and five years’ experience in systems analysis, change
  management analysis, project management, program analysis, or a closely related field.
