Senior Go Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Go Engineer with blockchain or distributed systems experience to join our team at Rubix Network.

You will be working primarily on the core Rubix node, owning the correctness and reliability of how transactions are validated, agreed on and stored.

Rubix is a running blockchain network and not just a protocol specification, so the code you work on will eventually make its way into the network.

Some of the areas you will be working on:

• Consensus and validation: making sure every transaction gets the same checks, whichever path it takes into a node

• Transaction processing: concurrency, state transitions and handling conflicting transactions

• Cryptography in practice: signing, verification, key management and replay protection

• Networking and storage: peer-to-peer messaging, node sync, crash recovery and database consistency

• Design and code reviews: reviewing new protocol features before they are built, and helping the team raise the bar

You would be a good fit if you have:

• 2+ years of professional software development experience

• Strong experience with Go, including concurrency, profiling and the race detector

• Experience building blockchain or distributed systems where nodes can fail or behave unexpectedly, such as consensus, peer-to-peer

networking or replicated state

• Good understanding of cryptography fundamentals such as hashing, signatures and key derivation

• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases, including transactions, locking and recovery

Good to have, but not mandatory:

• Experience working with IPFS or libp2p

• Contributions to open-source blockchain or distributed systems projects

• Experience with property-based testing or formal methods such as TLA+
