Senior Golang Engineer - DevOps Enablement (all genders)

Senior Go engineer on ABOUT YOU's DevOps Enablement team in Hamburg: builds and ships Go backend services, internal developer tools, and APIs, owning the full lifecycle (Helm charts, Kubernetes deploys, Terraform/Terragrunt infra, on-call) under PCI-DSS controls. Requires 5+ years hands-on Go, production K8s/Helm, PostgreSQL/Redis, and advanced AI/RAG fluency.
- Write & Maintain Go: Design, build, and ship high-performance Go backend services, internal developer tools, and APIs
- Full Lifecycle Ownership ("You build it, you run it"): Write the code, manage Helm charts, deploy directly to Kubernetes, and handle infrastructure using Terraform & Terragrunt
- On-Call Responsibility: Take operational ownership and participate in the on-call rotation for the services you own
- PCI-DSS Compliance: Build and operate production environments under strict security standards, where merges and deployments require human-in-the-loop controls
- 5+ years of DIRECT, hands-on experience as a Go/Backend Engineer (Note: 5 total career years with only 2–3 years in Go/DevOps does NOT qualify)
- Deep Architectural Expertise: Proven ability to build clean, maintainable microservices and make sound engineering tradeoffs
- Production Kubernetes & Helm: Daily experience deploying, debugging, and managing containerized services on K8s
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Terraform and Terragrunt
- Relational & Key-Value Databases: Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- AI Fluency (Level 3): Advanced proficiency applying AI (e.g., RAG workflows) to complex problem-solving
- Location & Relocation: Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg, Germany
