Role Overview

Join an exciting project as a Senior Golang Engineer focused on transforming test infrastructure. You will tackle the challenge of migrating and redesigning a Java-based test automation environment to Golang, enhancing its reliability and scalability. This remote position offers the opportunity to influence architectural decisions and integrate cutting-edge technology in a fully remote team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse the existing Java-based test automation infrastructure and contribute to its transformation into Golang.

  • Design, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable test infrastructure using Golang.

  • Migrate, redesign, or replace existing Java components where required.

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help define the technical approach for the transformation.

  • Ensure the stability of existing testing processes throughout the migration.

  • Integrate the new infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and the broader development environment.

  • Collaborate closely with QA, Backend, and DevOps engineers.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of the infrastructure.

  • Write clear technical documentation and follow engineering best practices.

  • Take ownership of assigned technical areas and deliver them independently from analysis to implementation.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience in Golang at Senior Engineer level.

  • Hands-on experience developing test automation infrastructure, testing frameworks, or internal engineering tools.

  • Experience with Java and the ability to understand and work with an existing Java codebase.

  • Experience migrating, modernising, or redesigning backend systems or infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, backend systems, and microservices.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and take ownership of delivery.

  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Professional working proficiency in English and Russian.
