Senior Hardware Development Engineer

As a member of the Nokia GX product R&D team, the ECAD Layout Lead is responsible for delivering layouts for advanced optical L1 cards & pluggable.

This role involves close collaboration with architects across Mechanical, Thermal, Signal Integrity, and Electrical domains to assess layout feasibility. The responsibilities extend to full implementation, including coordination with Manufacturing for DFx considerations. Beyond hands-on layout work, the role also includes mentoring and guiding the broader ECAD team.

Must-Have-Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in ECAD layout
  • Has led complex layout end to end
  • Knowhow of Mentor Graphics and Cadence tool chain
  • Understand PCB Stack-up, various materials and constrains
  • Very good understanding of DFx
  • Worked on complex boards, telecom boards are preferred
  • Had through understanding of process, checklists.
  • Has contributed to process improvement.
  • Flexible in working across time-zones
  • Good in communication
  • Working knowledge of MS office tools

    Nice-to-have-skills

  • Understand PCB Stack-up, various materials and constrains
  • Very good understanding of DFx
