Senior Hardware Infrastructure Capacity Planner
Summary
Own hardware forecasting and supply planning for global data-center infrastructure, aligning procurement, vendor lead times, and deployment schedules to meet compute/storage demands.
You will own physical hardware forecasting, supply alignment, and allocation planning for a global infrastructure footprint. You will coordinate bills of materials, vendor lead times, procurement, site readiness, inventory models, and deployment schedules to ensure compute, storage, and networking assets are available when and where needed.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale hardware allocation models
- Map customer capacity requirements to server, rack, and component procurement cycles
- Track vendor lead times and mitigate component shortage risks
- Align rack delivery, power allocation, and network availability with deployments
- Translate compute and storage demands into component-level bills of materials
- Model buffer stock and work-in-progress deployments
- Monitor equipment capitalization metrics
- Tune capital expenditures against utilization targets
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure supply planning, hardware planning, global supply chain, or operations engineering
- Experience in a large-scale technical network environment
- Experience with public cloud hyperscaler or high-performance computing supply chains
- Understanding of server architectures, hardware components, storage topologies, and data center power and space variables
- Advanced proficiency in forecasting, predictive inventory, or mathematical optimization models
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Operations Research, Management Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent quantitative discipline
