As a Senior IAM Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, on a strategic Identity and Access Management programme. You will help reshape authentication, federation, privileged access, access governance, and API security across the bank, contributing to innovative security solutions and operational excellence. Your main responsibilities:
- Gather and manage requirements in a technical environment across Cloud and on-premises platforms.
- Collaborate closely with IT developers, engineers, and operational teams to design effective IAM processes.
- Map processes and identify key use cases to improve system efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops and support decision-making among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Optimize IAM processes and deliver high-quality, on-schedule outputs.
- Present work progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in Identity & Access Management.
- Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle, provisioning, governance, and familiarity with Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes.
- Experience working with directory services such as AD/Azure AD, LDAP, SCIM, SAML/OIDC.
- Solid understanding of core identity concepts: authentication vs authorization, roles, entitlements, access reviews, and SoD principles.
- Technical understanding of infrastructure technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, deliver quality outputs, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Visio, and Confluence.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working in financial services.
- Previous experience with HSBC or global teams.
- Familiarity with Rational Team Concert.
- Exposure to Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban), DevOps practices, and CI/CD controls in regulated environments.
- Understanding of audit and regulatory requirements for access control and reporting.
Language Required for the role:
Fluent English – excellent command in verbal and written communication.
