Senior IBM i Developer at BairesDev
As a Senior IBM i Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain critical business applications on the IBM i platform. You will ensure the stability and efficiency of core systems by modernizing legacy processes, optimizing database interactions, and supporting high-performance integrations.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement robust software solutions on IBM i systems using RPG or COBOL languages.
- Develop and optimize database schemas and queries utilizing DB2 for i and SQL.
- Modernize legacy applications and streamline system integrations to support changing business needs.
- Manage, monitor, and optimize complex batch jobs and system performance.
- Provide reliable production support and application maintenance to guarantee system availability.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development, IBM i Development, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in IBM i / AS/400 systems and RPG or COBOL programming.
- Strong hands-on experience with DB2 for i and SQL database development.
- Deep understanding of batch jobs, integrations, and system modernization.
- Solid experience in production support and application maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
