Senior Information Security Manager (f/m/d)
Summary
Leads security strategy, implements cloud and app security controls, and manages compliance/audits for a fast-growing AdTech startup, collaborating with IT, legal, and leadership to build a security-first culture.
Build the security foundation behind products used by millions
At applike group, we build and scale innovative AdTech, mobile-gaming, analytics, and app-growth products for users, customers, and partners around the world. With more than 500 colleagues across Hamburg, Boston, Tokyo, and Singapore, we are strengthening the shared technology and security foundation behind our continued growth.
We are looking for a Senior Group Information Security Manager – Product & Platform to own our group-wide information security management system and lead ISO/IEC 27001 readiness across our application, platform, cloud, data, and product-facing environments.
You will act as the internal information security lead for our product and platform landscape. Internal workplace IT and employee-facing controls — including SSO, endpoint management, hardware logistics, internal SaaS, and employee AI governance — are led by our Group IT/AI leadership. You will define the security requirements for those areas, review their evidence, and integrate them into one coherent ISMS.
This is a builder role: strategic enough to define the group security roadmap and governance model, and hands-on enough to work directly with engineers, platform teams, auditors, customers, and senior leadership.
What you will do:
Drive our security roadmap: Develop and implement practical, scalable security policies and procedures that align with our rapid growth and business objectives.
Architect and implement security solutions: Evaluate, deploy, and manage security tools and technologies that fit our evolving needs, with a focus on cloud security.
Be the security champion: Proactively identify and mitigate security risks across our infrastructure, applications, and data.
Be the go to person: manage stakeholders like internal and external auditors, certification companies, German authorities or similar
Navigate the compliance landscape: Ensure we meet relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices in a pragmatic way.
Empower our teams with security awareness: Foster a balanced security-first culture through engaging training and communication.
Lead incident response efforts: Develop and execute effective plans to handle and learn from any security incidents.
Collaborate closely with the IT Ops team: Integrate security seamlessly into our IT landscape and lifecycle.
Stay ahead of the curve: Continuously research the latest threats and trends to keep our defences strong
Who you are:
You typically bring 6+ years of experience in information security, product security, application security, cloud security, security governance, or technology risk.
You have spent at least 2–3 years owning a security program, ISMS, product-security domain, or major ISO/IEC 27001 workstream.
You have implemented or materially operated ISO/IEC 27001 controls in a cloud-native or technology-platform environment — not merely supported an audit.
You understand application security, secure development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, vulnerability management, penetration testing, logging, incident response, and data protection.
You have sufficient working knowledge of identity, endpoint, SaaS, and workplace IT controls to define requirements and assess evidence, without needing to operate them personally.
You have worked effectively with Engineering, Product, Legal, Data Protection, IT Operations, auditors, customers, and technical service providers.
You can translate security and compliance requirements into practical controls that teams can actually implement.
You combine technical credibility with strong risk judgment and are comfortable challenging decisions constructively.
You communicate clearly and fluently with engineers, executives, auditors, and non-technical stakeholders in German and English.
