Senior Infrastructure Engineer

You'll join the Hexagate team building a real-time on-chain detection and response platform that combines ML-driven threat intelligence, custom detections, and an LLM-powered rules engine to protect on-chain assets. You'll set the standards for how systems are built and deployed, defining the "Golden Path" that lets product teams move fast while maintaining institutional-grade reliability. You'll lead modernization efforts, migrating legacy components to Kubernetes, robust infrastructure as code, and optimized CI/CD workflows. You'll design and maintain scalable, reproducible infrastructure that gives multi-chain ingestion and detection engines the horsepower and elasticity they need. You'll implement SRE principles, defining system constraints, SLOs, and observability patterns that ensure the platform meets uptime and performance obligations. You'll also build internal tooling and platforms that empower engineers to own their services from development to production, acting as a force multiplier for the entire engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Set architectural standards and define the Golden Path for product teams
• Lead migration of legacy components to Kubernetes, IaC, and optimized CI/CD workflows
• Design and maintain scalable, reproducible infrastructure
• Implement SRE principles including SLOs and observability patterns
• Build internal tooling and platforms for developer experience
• Mentor backend engineers on operational best practices

Requirements

• Senior infrastructure experience building and operating large-scale production environments, preferably in FinTech, Enterprise SaaS, or high-growth startups
• Deep expertise across DevOps, Infrastructure, and SRE
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi/Terraform)
• Coding proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust
• Experience mentoring backend engineers on operational best practices
• Web3/blockchain experience or strong interest is a plus
• Real-time / streaming data platform experience is a plus
• Security, fraud, risk, or other adversarial-domain experience is a plus
