Senior Infrastructure Engineer (ESXi, SAN, Over $58K)
Salary: $58,000 – $68,000 per month
Job description:
Oversee day-to-day system operations, performance monitoring, backups, and Disaster Recovery for mission-critical infrastructure.
Take charge of critical incidents—performing in-depth troubleshooting and applying technical fixes directly, without depending on vendor support.
Coordinate end-to-end infrastructure projects, system integrations, software release cycles, and routine patch management.
Evaluate operational strategies, develop execution plans, and take full ownership of tasks—demonstrating an unwavering commitment to on-time delivery, along with strong flexibility, dedication, and a results-driven approach to meeting critical project milestones.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and ISO 27001/ISO 27701 standards by facilitating Security Risk Assessments and Audits (SRAA).
Support the team in drafting comprehensive technical documentation, operational procedures, and tender specifications, and in proposing solutions.
Plan and execute lifecycle management for the HCI platform—covering firmware, hardware, and VMware software upgrades—while maintaining a register of end-of-life and end-of-support components.
Carry out capacity planning, performance monitoring, and right-sizing of virtual resources, and establish proactive monitoring and alerting for early fault detection.
Prepare procurement documents (specifications, evaluation criteria, schedules) for hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance services, and manage the full procurement lifecycle—from sourcing and quotation/tender evaluation to preparing award recommendations.
Administer vendor and contractor contracts, including monitoring deliverables and milestones, verifying claims and invoices, and tracking maintenance and support contract renewals and expirations.
Supervise junior staff and perform Quality Assurance on contractor work. Candidates must maintain a high level of accountability by proactively updating management on task progress and risks, and ensuring architectural roadmaps align seamlessly with overall business objectives.
