Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AWS)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure primarily on AWS. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and reliability engineering, and plays a key role in driving best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability.
- Lead infrastructure architecture decisions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.
- Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place and tested.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and costs; optimize for reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with application, security, and DevOps teams to streamline delivery.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and lead incident response when required.
- Enforce security best practices, including IAM, network security, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and review infrastructure designs and code.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, EKS/ECS, CloudWatch).
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS).
- Experience with Linux-based systems and system administration.
- Experience building and operating production-grade, highly available systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).
- CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience working in high-scale or mission-critical environments.
