Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Salary: $10,000 – $12,000 per month
About the role
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the provision of the infrastructure platform: network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) and compute equipment (servers and workstations), including the deployment of the SOE (Standard Operating Environment) for the respective project and/or bid activity. You will work in an international multidisciplinary team focused on leading and delivering the infrastructure for a complex ATM solution.
Key responsibilities
Revise solution architecture drawings and diagrams, cost templates (devis), the List of Supplies (LoS) / Bill of Materials (BoM), and interfaces at the start of the project
Create and/or update network integration engineer contributions to the Solution Specification and Design documentation, Network Acceptance Test Procedures, and other associated network integration documents
Review definition documents, solution specifications, design documentation, acceptance test procedures and other associated documentation to align with project objectives, and participate in the product integration and verification phases
Define equipment configuration for the ATM solution(s) and coordinate with Hardware Deployment and Integration management for the assembly of the ATM system
Load, configure, validate, and hand over equipment to Software Integration in the factory and on customer sites
Support configuration changes to system platforms in factory and customer sites
Attend Design Reviews with customers and provide customer training
Identify risks at solution architecture level and propose alternate validated solutions
Provide system and networking expertise useful in the design and follow and contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering processes
Support efficiency initiatives and promote Lean and Agile practices within infrastructure projects
About you
Degree in Engineering, ICT or related discipline
Proven experience in the design, delivery, and operations of complex, mission-critical server/storage infrastructure (including virtualization, compute platforms, storage arrays, backup/recovery, and automation) and networks (7+ years)
Solid foundation in basic networking concepts, including an understanding of switching and routing principles
Deep expertise in modern server operating systems (e.g., Linux/RHEL, Windows Server), server hardening, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, KVM), and container environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
Broad experience in infrastructure architecture/design, including physical/virtual servers, SAN/NAS storage solutions, data centre server/storage deployment, and lifecycle management
Proficient in infrastructure automation—Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automation scripting for infrastructure operations
Experience in product/project development under both traditional and agile/iterative lifecycle methodologies
Solid understanding of hardware integration and testing processes and practical experience of validation and integration of hardware components on large, complex, software-based systems
Superior communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) in English
Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders with differing objectives and excellent judgment with independent decision making and accountability
